The Mother Of The Vedas

While in Kataragama I kept hearing the Gayatri Mantra over and over and over again until it was the only thing resonating in my mind.

Aum Bhoor Bhuwah Swahah,
Tat Savitur Varenyam,
Bhargo Devasaya Dheemahi,
Dhiyo Yo Naha Prachodayat.

It was a man chanting, and it was very calm, and soothing. I’ve been trying to find it online but it seems almost impossible, but in the process I found this magnificent rendition:

The use of the 12 string is just genius, and the sincerity in his voice makes it all the more powerful. Enjoy!
